Care and help with your WeedTreats order

Where to go when a box arrives with a swapped item, when a dietary note needs a second look, or when you simply want to know which pouch to open first.

Reaching the kitchen without guessing who to ask

Most care questions here are practical: a pouch arrived with a torn seal, a build-your-own note needs a second look, or a subscription rotation should pause while you are away. Send the batch date printed on the pouch and a short description, and it lands with the person who packed it rather than a general inbox.

We are a small Salt River operation, so replies are written by hand between packing runs. If your question is about an order already on its way, mention the courier name so we can trace it the same day.

Email the kitchen

Best for dietary notes, subscription changes and anything with a batch date attached.

Call during packing hours

Weekday mornings are the calmest window. If we are mid-run, leave a number and we call back after the batch is sealed.

Post, if it is not urgent

683 Banda Creek, Barnardfontein, WC 8378. Useful for returns of unopened pouches and written notes that need to travel with a box.

What to expect after you write

Within one working day

A reply confirming we have your note, plus any follow-up question about the batch or the box contents.

Two to three days

Resolution on replacements, swaps or subscription pauses. Seasonal runs can add a day when the kitchen is mid-batch.

Same week

Anything involving a courier trace or a returned pouch, once we have the tracking reference in hand.

If your question is about ingredients, storage or how a rotation works, the FAQ covers most of it before you write. For anything about how we handle your details, see our privacy notes, or reach us directly through the contact page.

Stay in touch with the kitchen

If a box arrived with a pouch you were not sure how to store, or you want to know which grower supplied the hemp hearts in this month's run, write to us and we will answer with the batch details. We also send a short note when a new rotation opens, so you can see the two items coming next before you decide whether to keep your subscription going.

Tell us what you are planning: a housewarming, a long weekend away, an office thank-you, or simply a shelf you want to keep stocked. Mention any dietary needs and we will tell you honestly what swaps cleanly and what does not.

What we can help with

  • Batch and freshness questions Reading the date code on a pouch, or working out whether an opened pack is still good for eating straight or better folded into baking.
  • Dietary swaps Vegan, nut-free or low-sugar builds. We will say which items move without upsetting the balance of the box.
  • Subscription changes Pausing a rotation, skipping a month, or switching to a build-your-own before the next run is packed.
  • Gifting timelines Lead times for housewarmings and office orders, and how the brittle travels in warmer weather.

We answer in the order messages arrive, usually within a working day. If your note is about an order already on its way, include the batch date from the pouch card.

Where to go when something needs sorting

Most questions about a WeedTreats box come down to timing, ingredients or a swap that did not land the way you hoped. Reach the kitchen directly and you will usually hear back the same working day.

Kitchen and packing address

Collections are arranged ahead of time, since Salt River runs are packed in short batches rather than held on a shelf.

Phone and email

Dietary notes, batch date questions and build-your-own swaps are easiest to sort by email, where we can check the current run before replying.

When we are at the bench

Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 16:00
Saturday, 9:00 to 12:00

Sundays and public holidays the kitchen is closed. Messages left then are picked up on the next packing morning.

Best channel for each kind of question

  • Ingredient lists, allergens and cross-contact in the kitchen: email, so we can send the current card.
  • Subscription changes, paused months and rotation swaps: email, at least three days before the next pack date.
  • Delivery timing and courier follow-ups: phone during kitchen hours, when someone can check the run sheet.
  • Wholesale or office orders for a specific week: email with the date you need the boxes to arrive.

Before you write

Have your order reference or the batch date from the pouch ready. It tells us which run you are holding and whether the item came from the Salt River kitchen or a seasonal grower drop. If the question is about a gift box going to someone else, mention the delivery town as well, since courier windows differ across the Western Cape.

For anything about returns, storage or how a box travels, the policy page covers the standing terms, and the FAQ handles the shorter recurring ones.
