Privacy Policy

This page explains what WeedTreats collects when you browse the site, order a starter box or write to the kitchen, and how that information is handled. Last updated 12 March 2025.

What we collect

Order and enquiry forms ask for your name, email, phone number and delivery address, plus any dietary note you add for a build-your-own box. We also keep the message text itself so the kitchen can act on it. Separately, the site logs basic technical data: browser type, device category, approximate region and the pages you opened, so we can see which boxes and posts people actually read.

Cookies and analytics

A small number of cookies keep your cart and form entries in place while you move between pages. Analytics cookies record anonymised visit events, such as which product pages were viewed and where a session ended. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time; the ordering flow will still work, though some preferences will not be remembered between visits.

Why we hold it

Contact details are used to confirm an order, arrange delivery, answer a question about ingredients or batch dates, and handle a return. Dietary notes are kept only as long as needed to pack the box correctly. Analytics data helps us decide which seasonal items to keep in rotation and which to retire. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated advertising.

Storage and sharing

Records are kept on our hosting provider's servers and in the email and form tools that deliver your message to the Salt River kitchen. Courier partners receive only the name, address and phone number required for a delivery. These providers process data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Order records are retained for the period required for accounting and food-traceability reasons.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, request a correction, ask us to delete it, or receive it in a portable format. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Visitors in the EU and UK have these rights under the GDPR, and California residents have comparable rights under the CCPA. Requests are answered within 30 days.

How to reach us

Privacy questions, access requests and deletion requests go to the same inbox the kitchen reads.

What this page does not claim

Nothing on this site promises a health outcome, an endorsement we do not have, or a delivery time we cannot meet. Batch dates, ingredient cards and grower notes describe what is in a pouch; they are not medical or nutritional advice. We are an independent Cape Town pantry label and are not affiliated with any larger brand. If a detail here ever conflicts with another page on the site, this policy and the terms page take precedence.

Cookie settings

We use cookies to keep the site reliable, remember basic choices, and understand which pages are useful. You can accept, reject, or review the settings before continuing.
