Operators ask sharper questions than most, so here is where we draw the lines. These notes cover the terms that come up again and again when a kitchen, a studio or a retail counter starts ordering from us.
We call a run small when it is packed by hand in one sitting at the Salt River kitchen, usually between forty and ninety boxes. Anything larger gets split across two days, and each day carries its own batch date on the pouch.
Hemp hearts, seed clusters and tisane blends follow what Western Cape growers have ready. If a supplier's crop is thin, that item steps out of the rotation rather than being replaced with something imported. Your box may look different in March than it did in November.
You are choosing from the items currently in the kitchen, not commissioning new ones. Dietary swaps work within that list. Some items, like the rooibos caramel brittle, cannot be removed without unbalancing the box, so we will tell you when a request is not workable.
We pack seed clusters, cacao-date bites and brittle in the same room. Surfaces and scoops are cleaned between items, but we cannot promise a nut-free or gluten-free facility. If that is a hard line for you, say so before ordering and we will be straight about it.
Two new items enter your box each month; the rest of the box stays familiar. You can pause or change your rotation before a run is packed. Once a batch date is printed, that box is committed and cannot be edited.
Every pouch carries a short, plain-language list and the batch date, written for the person opening the box, not for a compliance file. If a line on the card is unclear, that is a fault on our side and worth an email to info@weedtreats.com.
These clarifications apply to every order placed through the site, whether it is a single starter box for a housewarming or a standing rotation for an office pantry. Questions about a specific run are best sent to the kitchen before packing day, when we can still adjust.
