Partners who pack, grow and stock WeedTreats boxes

We keep our runs small, which means the people we work with matter more than any shelf. This page is for the Western Cape growers, the Salt River kitchen hands, the stockists and the event organisers who want to know how a WeedTreats partnership actually runs day to day, from seed deliveries to the pouches that leave the door.

What We Mean, and What We Don't

Partners ask good, specific questions before they commit shelf space or a wholesale run. These are the working definitions we use in the Salt River kitchen, so nobody is guessing at what a box actually contains or how a partnership is meant to run.

Hemp seed, not hemp flower

Everything we pack is food-grade hemp seed and hemp heart: hulled, toasted, milled or pressed. No flower, no extract, no intoxicating material enters the kitchen. When a partner lists our boxes, that distinction should stay in the copy.

Small batch means a dated run

A batch is one kitchen session, usually a few hundred pouches, dated by hand and tied to named Western Cape growers. We do not blend old and new stock to stretch a run, so a batch date on a partner shelf is the date the batch was packed, not a best-before guess.

Seasonal gaps are normal

Rooibos caramel brittle behaves differently in a humid Cape summer, and some seed clusters depend on what growers have dried that month. A partner rotation may see an item pause rather than a substitute quietly appear. We flag that in advance.

Build-your-own has limits

Dietary swaps work within the existing item list. Some pouches can be removed cleanly, others hold the balance of a box together. We share a short swap sheet so partners can explain the option honestly instead of promising a fully custom hamper.

Cross-contact in a shared kitchen

We pack seed clusters, cacao-date bites and brittle in the same room. A nut-free box is built with care and separated runs, but it is not a certified allergen-free facility. Partners should pass that wording on rather than soften it.

Subscription rotation, not a fixed menu

The monthly rotation introduces two new items and retires two. It is a tasting path through the pantry, not a guaranteed permanent line-up. Partners who stock a fixed shelf should plan around that turnover.

Reading worth your time before you stock a shelf

Three pieces from the kitchen and the growers we buy from. Useful if you are deciding what to carry, how to talk about batch dates with customers, or how a build-your-own box actually behaves in practice.
